TRON's Glenn Campbell, Animation Camera Operator, Passes Away

Glenn Campbell was an animation compositing camera operator for TRON. I met him at D23 in September 2022 at Back to the Grid: 40 Years of TRON. I didn't know who Glenn was, and he walked right up to me in the green room before the panel, smiling and excited to see my Flynn costume. First thing he said was, "Let me see the back!" So I turned around and showed him the Syd Mead-designed rear torso circuit pattern that I reproduced and screen printed onto the costume. "That's it! You got it right!" He made my day that day. So kind and so encouraging, with his very first words to me. Glenn passed away suddenly November 17. I will never forget how immediate his kindness and creative spirit made an impression on me.
